Textile News 18 + Requirements list for Sketchbook Work

Wedding Book
Mary has finished the sewing for the cover of the wedding book for her granddaughter and husband to be. She has entwined their initials in silver on a blue background which she has embroidered around the edge.
They are a lucky couple to have a grandmother like Mary making beautiful things for their wedding. Thank you Mary and I hope you manage to find the paper and board to construct the book.

Tote Bag
Sandra has finished decorating the front of another sample tote bag.
Only one more to go!
The bag was stamped with a Medieval style pattern stamp of a gryphon.
Sandra decided she would make a pocket and decorate it with a collage of the gryphon. She made a pattern by stamping the gryphon on paper, enlarging it, applying to material and cutting out. The gryphon was sewn to the pocket and then applied to the bag.

Sandra says she is making tote bags in her dreams! Thank you Sandra

Flowers
The first picture is of a banana flower and if you look carefully you can see the small bananas. It was taken outside in a friend's garden.
The next is of my red hot pokers with the early morning sun on them.
The last photo is of  a few of my tubs and basket.
