Silver Anniversary celebration Saturday 4th August

On Saturday, past and present members of North Lonsdale Branch of the Embroiderers' Guild met to celebrate 25 years of stitching with the Branch.

Joanna had iced a special cake with an iced sculpture of an embroiderer working hard at their machine.
We sat in the sunshine at Abbot Hall Hotel chatting about past events and what the Branch is doing now.

It was also National Stitch Day and we were making embroidered hearts to promote embroidery.
It was a very pleasant afternoon and it was nice to meet former members for a chat. The tea and cake were delicious and the weather was sunny.
Thank you to Joanna and the committee for organizing the celebration.
